The Dr. N. Joyce Payne Center for Social Justice (Payne Center) is launching two requests for proposals (RFPs) for HBCU-based research that advances racial equity in relation to topics such as housing, urban development, community investment, entrepreneurship, the racial wealth gap, economic mobility, infrastructure, transportation, and sustainability.

For HBCU Faculty:

The Payne Center will award four (4) grants in the amount of $25,000 each to HBCU-faculty research projects on the above topics. Deadline is July 15, 2022.

For HBCU-based Research Centers:

The Payne Center will award a grant in the amount of $50,000 to an HBCU-based research center focused on social science research that has the potential to directly impact underserved communities. Deadline is August 15, 2022.
